AsiaStore Press: The New York Post

AsiaStore designers Han Feng, Coomi, and Lotus Arts de Vivre were featured in a gorgeous fashion spread in today’s New York Post. The feature, titled East Meets Best was shot at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City and highlights fashions that are appropriate for celebrating Chinese New Year.

Among the featured items was Han Feng’s stunning red opera coat with “butterfly” appliques. Stop by AsiaStore to get a closer look at these beautiful items in person!

Celebrity Sightings

It is always exciting when we see AsiaStore‘s designers featured in the press, and all the more exciting when regular folk or celebrities are spotted wearing pieces from their collections. Lindsay Lohan (above) was recently snapped wearing designer Rosena Sammi‘s Bliss Letter Necklace.

You can imagine how excited we were to hear that actress Kelly Preston was spotted all over town in designer Alpana Gujral‘s jewelry designs. Preston showed up at the premiere for her film in a stunning Alpana necklace. Later that week she also made an appearance on Conan O’Brien bejeweled in Alpana’s cuff and earrings.

Kelly said she found Alpana’s jewelry to be “refreshing” and nothing like anything she had seen before. We at AsiaStore have to agree.

Stop by AsiaStore to see Alpana Gujral and Rosena Sammi‘s collections.

AsiaStore Press: The New Yorker

AsiaStore was delighted to be featured in the December 3rd issue of The New Yorker Magazine in an article about Museum shops titled “Art and Commerce.”

This is what The New Yorker had to say about AsiaStore:

A visit to Asia Society’s AsiaStore (Park Avenue at 70th Street) will convince you that Asians spend a lot of time pleating. Check out the line of Richard Tsao puckered jackets and the accessories by Han Feng–especially her shimmering shawls with holes that you can slip either your head or your arms through ($200). The dazzling plates by Nima Oberoi look as if they were made out of crinkled foil wrap (in gold, silver, or nickel; $20 and $55).
