With a broad background in textiles, design, and a love of Asia, Karen searched long and hard to develop the perfect product that would combine these three loves. The ancient fabrics of Japan have a particular allure. Foraging through endless piles of kimonos, obi and haori at the Tokyo markets, she then journeys to Southeast Asia for the companion fabrics and finishing. Karen creates one-of-a-kind art pieces that bring a touch of history to our modern world. They are a timeless and colorful bridge between past and future.
