Zayd Makarim for Nohan
Struck by the beauty of a Buddha statue’s curly hair, Zayd got the idea for his signature collection. The first Buddhacurl pieces were completely handmade. He has since adopted the lost wax method of sketching a piece, carving out the wax model, and then casting it. The process typically takes three months, depending on the complexity of the design. Nohan, which translates to “beautiful things,” is an apt name for these intricate combinations of gemstones and sterling silver.
