The Rabbit, a symbol of luck and happiness, is the fourth animal in the Chinese zodiac. The Character (Fu) featured on the lantern means fortune or good luck. The geometric pattern, known as the cloud and thunder pattern, symbolizes abundance. Clouds and the color red both symbolize good fortune and happiness. Also the outer border is made of peony petals, symbolizing wealth and prosperity.
